I was a big fan of Taqueria Casa Paloma in Union Station, eating their a couple of times a week, and made the journey every few months to 83rd and Metcalf to dine at La Tienda Casa Paloma when the Lara’s left the failing food court for the ‘burbs.
I was sad to hear they sold the business and even sadder to hear the new owners aren’t maintaining the quality that was a hallmark of the LTCP experience.
Looks like Lisa & Bernardino moved back to his home country and have opened a B&B in San Agustinillo, Oaxaca, Mexico. The Husband and I really enjoyed vacationing in Puerto Vallarta with Cliff & Sarah (of the Regensblog) this past winter. Now, I’m excited at the prospect of exploring points south (and by points, I mostly mean the spot on the beach where I put my towel and veg out for a week or so). AND seeing if Bernardino can make me a Michael Connor burrito and a squash blossom quesadilla for old times’ sake.
I wasn’t really planning on a winter vacation this year. Now I’m totally reconsidering.
